There are some things about the interface that I really like. Two tings in particular I would like to not lose are:

    • Swipe to left or right at top to change brightness
    • Swipe down from the top, from any screen, to pull down the settings for Wi-Fi, Blue Tooth, etc.

I suspect the answer would be same for both. Will that functionality be lost if I install Launcher Pro? (I'm not sure what is part of TouchWiz, and what is not).

I'm using launcher pro, don't think it does the brightness thing. Just add the 'control' widget, easy access to brightness settings.

I'll just have to decide which way I want to go. I change brightness often. So it's easy with a swipe. While a control is easy, I presume it will require that you are at the screen it is on, then hit it with the finger, then do the setting. Not near as simple or available.

But of course, the launcher a person uses depends on considering all the pros/cons of each.

Oh, I added the other thing I like about TW above too.

The curtain shortcuts for Wi-Fi etc should, to my knowledge, remain if you use another launcher.

They do remain - I'm using Launcher Pro and they're still there.
