Lost Data connection?

Long story short I sent in my wifes phone to Samsung to be repaired because it wouldnt update any software and I wasnt able to get into recovery or do factory resets. They sent it back with 2.3 on the phone so I updated it to GB and then to ICS. It has no data but I can make calls and receive them. My nexus s works fine with the same carrier so I know they are not down.

Is there a way to fix this or did the carrier do something to her data connection?

You probably need to flash the baseband (radio). The About screen will show what's there now if anything.

The base band on both phones are the same. I9020XXK17 or 11 at the end. If you go into status her phone as no IP address or Mac address and mine does.

After looking at the XDA site I think the end of the number must be KI1.


I didnt do anything to the phone yet and now it wont even make calls.

Took the phone back to my carrier and they had to create a new acess point and now all is well.
