Just bought this new phone and thought everything was working well but now I am finding that my emails are being lost or stored somewhere and I can't find them. Even when it says I have 3 emails, once I tap on "download more messages" my previous emails disappear. Any thoughts on what might be happening???

try clearing the data of the gmail or email app in application manager and try to sync again ....
