    Hi Everybody,
So I misplaced my phone last night, and I'm hoping to recover it (droid bionic!). Unfortunately, background data was disabled when I lost the phone, so I've been unable to remotely install any kind of "find my droid" type app. I've spoken with Verizon's customer service, who have assured me there is nothing I can do about this (they won't/can't enable it for me remotely). I'm hoping maybe someone has figured out some kind of sneaky work around for this?
In summary, need a way to enable background data/download applications remotely.

Have you looked into "Lookout Plan B" in the market?

Or also check out Android lost, you can install the app from a PC to your phone remotely and send a siren signal or the GPS coordinates. It will override the sound and data.
