Any one know of a reliable app that can pinpoint its location from a simple text sent to the phone. Preferably have the text not show. Any Ideas?

    Kailua, Hi
Just added this app to my phone. Like that my contacts are now uploaded to their server, and can be re-installed in case something happens. I hope I never have to use this app!

WaveSecure works really well and anyone signing up now will get it subscription-free even if it becomes paid for in the market later on.
Better still would be to get this as part of MoDaCo's custom ROM as it is then not possible to uninstall.

I looked for Mobile Defense in the Market but didn't return any result. Is it not available in the UK?

    See Indyz ping2Locate Home.

Looks pretty cool, just downloaded. They charge for the app but I feel it's worth it.

Send SMS or IM and receive location in email, real time track maps on the web. also seems to claim having sim card change alerts and other device alerts..have to play with it
