    Hi -

I'm wondering if the WiFi connection / signal strength on my Droid 2 can be improved. I previously owned another Droid 2 and Droid 1, and I believe that my Droid 2(s) are weaker at connecting to public/coffeeshop wifi's than the Droid 1. Also I am able to compare side-by-side with friend's iPhone 3 & 4 and the iPhones can frequently connect when the Droid 2 cannot. Is there anything to do?

    Droid 2 Stats:
    v2.320A955.Verizon.en.US
    Android 2.2
    Baseband BP_C_01.09.07P
A check reports that it's up to date.

Anyone have the same experience? Or do I have a weak copy?

I don't have any problems connecting to wifi networks with my phone.

I have wifi problems with mine at my local Borders. It will connect, I agree to the TOS and then it will either stay connected for the three hour session or disconnect every 15 minutes, forcing me to do the TOS page again.

My friends with iPhones can connect where the signal is too poor for my D2 to connect. Have you compared your phone next to an iPhone? Or even a D1?

Sounds great. A buddy of mine has iPhone 3 and my girlfriend has iPhone 4 and both seem to connect better than min D2. I would think that a distance test would tell.
