    Hello,
We have 2 Nexus 7s, one bought in July, another bought in December.
The nexus bought in July has very low volume, and the nexus bought in December has a lot louder volume, they're both set at max volume.

The only difference between them is the July Nexus is 8gb and the December Nexus is 32gb, they're both on the same Android version 4.2.1.
I've tried multiple volume boosters and none of them work, I have also reset the firmware/hardware but that didn't fix it.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks in advance

I noticed the same thing. I bought an 8gb in august And the volume was quite disappointing. I just barely bought a new 32gb on black Friday and the speaker is significantly louder. Almost as loud as my Galaxy Player on max. My thinking is that they just put a better speaker in the newer 32gb model.

How do they work with headsets or external speakers ? If you cannot notice a difference with an external device, then they put bum speakers into the older ones.

Should be easy enough to change the max volume. Let me see what I can dig up
