LTE: Keep Evo or trade in for SG3 while I can?

I recently (12 days ago) upgraded to the Evo, and it's great.

BUT, now I've discovered this and dozens of other threads in forums all over the web about how the Evo has a lame radio, especially not connecting/finding LTE.
    (In particular: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1644-evo-lte-4g-connection-issues-contact-sprint/ )

I don't have LTE in LA yet ... supposed to arrive by end of year ... so I have no way of testing.

These complaints have scared me; should I exchange it for a Galaxy S3 while I still can?

I'm especially interested to hear from people who are in an LTE active market and who have both of these phones -- how well do they connect? How do the speeds compare?

    Thanks!

    PS: I'm on Sprint.

I had the GS3 on sprint. Exchanging for the s3 is only gonna give you the same problem. Switch to Verizon for real 4G while u still can in the next 2 days. Sprint is awful.

Hey there d0g, i have merged/moved your thread into Device Comparison, as i thought it would be better than having 2 threads. (Your duplicate post will be deleted momentarily)

Hopefully this move is for the better, if not PM me :)

And i agree with Steve, your problem is probably Sprint not the device. Spring has always had issues with 4G since their market is so small, Verizon's is pretty amazing and offers fast speeds.

I'm in KC and we have a lot of 4g LTE here and it's fast and I don't have any connection problems. Keep in mind Sprint is rolling out Network Vision and 4G LTE at the same time. I think the issues people were talking about stem from them turning on towers one or a few at a time as they are readied, they are not switching the whole market on at once. There was also a hardware upgrade since they came out.

The KC area is still being upgraded and I am seeing more 4g all the time. The S3 is a nice phone, but I really like my EVO 4G LTE.
