    It seems that my CLI usage (making Android apps with Cordova/PhoneGap) has hit a wall after updating to Mac OS X Mavericks. Sample:

    cordova -v returns $ -bash: cordova: command not found
    node -v returns $ -bash: node: command not found
    $ java -v -bash returns java: command not found
    $ vi .bash_profile returns -bash: vi: command not found
    $ vim .bash_profile returns -bash: vim: command not found

    $ brew -v returns
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 2: dirname: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 5: basename: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 8: readlink: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 16: cd: /Users/Steve/../Library: No such file or directory
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 18: uname: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 18: tr: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 23: exec: ruby: not found

    $ brew install wget [from http://brew.sh/]:
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 2: dirname: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 5: basename: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 8: readlink: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 16: cd: /Users/Steve/../Library: No such file or directory
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 18: uname: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 18: tr: command not found
    /usr/local/bin/brew: line 23: exec: ruby: not found

    Yet my .bash_profile contains:

    #tools
    export PATH=${PATH}:~/Developer/adt-bundle-mac-x86/sdk/platforms
    export PATH=${PATH}:~/Developer/adt-bundle-mac-x86/sdk/platform-tools
    export PATH=${PATH}:~/Developer/adt-bundle-mac-x86/sdk/tools

    #ant
    export ANT_HOME=/Users/Steve/Developer/adt-bundle-mac-x86/apache-ant-1.9.3
    export PATH=${PATH}:${ANT_HOME}/bin

    #for ADT problem
    PATH=~/Developer/adt-bundle-mac-x86/sdk/platforms/android-19; export PATH

    #default
    PATH=${PATH}:~/bin
    PATH=${PATH}:~/usr/local/bin

    What should I do next to get this working? I installed JDK, but can't find the location to put it into my profile file. At least, how do I get that step working, so that CLI will show the Java version number?
