Magnetic catch case problem solved

I hope this solution helps anyone with the same problem.

I've had a very frustrating a problem with my HTC Wildfire S display not turning back on when removed from my ear e.g. when I needed to enter numbers, or end a call. Out of its leather case the phone display wakes up as it should.

I discovered that the problem was caused by 2 small magnets forming the catch holding the phone into leather case. The 2 magnets sit on top of the phone between the on/off switch and the headphone socket. I guess that they were either interfering with the proximity sensor, or the on/off switch.

The offending magnets will now be removed and replaced with Velcro.
