When texting there is a long delay in letters appearing and when I hit space bar the keyboard disappears as if I've finished message and ready to hit send. I have to hit the "bubble" to get the keyboard back. I have rebooted and taken the battery out. I don't have the problem with keyboard when typing in a google search or email.

I had this exact same issue about a week ago, I suspect it has something to do with the GB update. The way I fixed mine was going into settings, language & keyboard, and multi touch keyboard settings. I turned off Highlight words, and next word prediction (which I didn't really like anyway) and everything went back to working fine. Hopefully Moto issues a patch for this update as I feel it took my phone a step back.

I don't think it was the update because I have no recent updates from Google or Moto.

This appeared to fix my droidx problem:

I cleared the data under settings/manage applications and
changing the setting under keyboards/multi-touch: I selected clear learned words and unchecked next word prediction. Strangely, next word prediction was re-enabled when I looked at the settings later. so far so good though.

    thanks.
