Making android media player screen aware

hi all,
i have implemented multiple overlays and each one talking to one external screen/display.
now wondering how would i pass this screen information to overlay from android media player.
and at this point i'm looking for only media data to be rendered onto external display, UI should still continue on embedded display.

has anybody already did some analysis on this? if so, what is that component in surface flinger to be screen aware? is it layer?
