I want to access "adult sites" on my android htc wildfire s. I went to my O2 shop and they confirmed I was over 18 so I no longer get the age block thing. However when i type in websites such as redtube or fantasti, (adult sites) an O2 dating site keeps coming up.

    Is O2 blocking adult sites?

You may have better luck if you use a 3rd party browser.

You may also be able to change the user agent in the stock browser by: put "about:debug" in as your URL and go. It will look like nothing happens but you can go to the settings and scroll down to find the "UAString" setting, try setting it to something other than Android to see if that helps.

Go back to them and ask them to check that its been done and do it again if necessary, then check after the recommended time (probably 24h). I've had to do this with mine but it worked fine the second time.
