The only woman I know of getting a Droid is Molly Wood of CNET. It seems like such a masculine phone that I wonder if it will end up primarily being for guys. If my wife was up for a new phone, I would probably steer her to the Eris.

My gf loves my Droid. If Verizon wasn't twice the cost of Sprint; she'd get it as well.

Yes, my wife loves mine as well, but I bet if she saw the Eris, her aesthetics instinct would kick in and she would want that instead. :0)

I know of a few female friends that seem to like it, but mostly it seems to be a MAN's phone!! ;-)

Release day, last Friday, there were about 15 in line before the store opened, only 1 was female, so, that may be representative of the ratio??

A friend's 18 year old daughter wants one real bad, so that is a good sign that female and younger are liking it too.

Same here at a midnight launch in Grapevine, TX.

Any by hot, I mean 'nerdy hot'; a personal favorite (and I guess quirk) of mine.

    Very cool!!

My wife is 42 and loves my Droid, but her contract comes due in February and by then I bet the Passion/Dragon will be something she would like. She is such a girly that when I got her an iPod Touch, the first thing she insisted upon was a pink cover!

I tend to disagree. I think it's a very feminine phone and that's why guys like it so much. Everytime she tells me to turn left in 500 feet my heart skips a beat!

Darkbleed, but that just shows how much of a "guy" phone it is! Everything made for guys has to have a hot girl involved somewhere! :0)

I was messing with the navigation this morning and my daughter decided to name her "Sally". Not thrilled with that, but hard to change it now!

There was a woman next to me getting one when I purchased mine as well as two other women getting helped at the same time but I didn't see their phones. When we say it's a man's or woman's phone that isn't true. It targets certain characteristics that more men seem to have but it isn't impossible for a woman to have as we see in this thread. There are many gadget lovers across the sexes.

No, of course, Steven, not impossible. I was just talking about general characteristics. Like when I was looking at the Pre, my wife said she would be more interested in the Pixi. A lot of women (but not all, by any means) are just like that. :0)

My wife and I bought our (2) Droids three days ago. She is geeky but not very patient with tech. Our tech relationship; she tells me what she wants the device to do, I make it happen...

That is my life! Usually it starts with me buying something she thinks is entirely unnecessary, like a Harmony remote, a Blu-Ray player with networking, even our DVR. A month later she can't live without it, but still has me to ALL the work!

Once she is comfortable with a device, you should hear her describe the features and operation to her friends...you would think she had designed it!

Exactly! I listen to her sell her friends of Netflix, especially streaming on our LGBD390, and she has the fervor of a convert!

I bought two Droids, one for me and the wife. She loves it and has been reminding me of that fact each day.

If you are like me, you are also tech support for your parents, parent-in-law, kids (although they will soon by MY tech support), and co-workers!
