I'm in Salzburg, but from California. I have no cell coverage here, but would like to use my MapDroyd with GPS to track my location and find locations. I'm accessing the internet by Wi-Fi from my hotel room. My MapDroyd only seems to work when I have Wi-Fi access. If I turn my GPS on and leave the hotel, MapDroyd can't tell I've moved. It appears wholly dependent upon the Wi-Fi connection. Does anyone know how to activatep MapDroyd -- or any other mapping software I could download -- using GPS only?
