Can someone make a official(sticky) maps thread?
Its 1 million threads about it and I as many others is one of main reason why we bought Desire.

Here go my 2 cents( I do warn that I am not a internet "expert" more like a noobie):

    Oruxmaps:

I still didnt find the "destination" option and I have been testing for some time.
Offline is too slow to upload the maps.

    Mapdroyd:

I really dont have a clue about this.
Exactly the same issues as Orux with the plus of the maps being not so clear.

In resume: Pleaseeeeeee Google make google maps work offline!!PLEASEEEEEE!

I can't big-up CoPilot 8 enough. It's got me out of quite a few fixes and with Live Traffic added on, it's a must-have for frequent travellers in my opinion.

CoPilot is indeed a great app, not tried it on my Desire purely because I am really happy with google navigation at the moment, I have a tomtom but......

I have tested google maps navigation offline and did not have a problem? maybe because i have done that route before and it has been cached i dont know.

Is copilot on android market? I cant find it.
Paul, would be nice if that would be true, can you confirm it and did you use gps all the way?

Google nav downloads the route when you first make it, so you can make it at home on wifi and then turn mobile data off for your journey

But no navigation, right? just a draw in the map? Or GPS makes a difference?

This is strange... Copilot is not on android Market, so I went to copilot site and there says they are on android market and even give a barcode( that leads to nowhere).

    What's going on?

I found the reason!! Copilot is paid and google doesn't have this function on Norway. Therefor doesn't show up on my phone.

Even more strange when Copilot has a scandi version...
