    Hi All,

I'm suddenly having a problem using navigation on Google maps in that the phone keeps restarting all the time. It's been fine for the last 18 months and then suddenly started doing it on the last couple of times I used it. I looked on the forums and there's a thread in the EVO4g forums about it and task killers being the problem, however I don''t have any task killers running. My wife's Desire is fine, works like a charm with navigation. I've recently installed 2.3 but this was happening before that.
Any ideas? Could another app be doing something?

Could be overheating. Does it feel warm/hot? when you upgraded, it will have wiped your phone so assume its not a data issue?

It could be heat related now I think about it. It first did it when went to Cornwall and was fine for about 2 hours and was plugged in charging the whole time, so it did get hot. But this weekend it was only an hour drive but I had had the phone on charge just before I got in the car so I can only think it was warm anyway then having it on using navigation made it get even warmer. I'll have to try using it without any sort of charging beforehand and during and see how it goes but does seem a bit annoying if it is heat doing as on long journeys you have to have the phone charging at some point cos the battery is so crap.

If it is overheating, HTC will replace the motherboard for you.
