I have bought new HTC Wildfire S and I have got TP-Link router at my home. Whenever I connect to wifi, the browsing works perfectly but Market and other internet related apps do not work with wifi. These applications and Market work fine with my mobile network. Can anyone help in this regard?

Let me put it in a simpler form this way:

On my wifi at home: browsing works, Market and apps don't work.
On my mobile network: browsing as well as Market and other apps work.

It's just the Market and internet related apps that don't work on my wifi connection.

    Am stuck... please help!

Try rebooting everything, router included. This sometimes helps.

Have you tried connecting with another router? Perhaps at a friends place or some other wifi location.

You may have to try a phone reset.

Reset to factory settings? Won't that delete all my data and apps?

Unfortunately yes, you will have to reinstall. Unless you already have a lot of apps and contacts installed, do a backup.

I found this from andtoidforums.com. Williestylez wrote this:
(I know you've tried a different router but hey who knows, maybe both have the same settings.)

Just to let you all know, it is more than likely a Firewall issue at either your router level, or your ISP. That's how one guy had an issue with his work WIFI, but not at home.

If you have control of your WIFI (or gateway) router, create a rule to allow a destination port of 5228 (as described here
Ip port used by Android market store ? - Android Market Help)

You shouldn't have any further issues connecting to Android market over WIFI... unless of course your ISP is blocking traffic to that port, then you're SCREWED! LOL! HTH! Good luck!
