Is there (or will there be) a marker of some sort on apps that have been created / optimized / updated to run on the Xoom? (or in theory any Honeycomb tablet) Much the same way that iTunes has a big HD on iPad things?

    hi,

    do you have a xoom?

in the market there is a section up top that shows tablet approved apps.

True but i think he is talking about the apps that are supported for tablets but not on there. I mean there are tons that have update to work with honeycomb but are not in that section.

Ah. I wasn't thinking about looking at the market *via* the Xoom. I meant the Marketplace online through the browser. I see bunches of apps, but then when I drill deeper to read about one I read things like "it doesn't work," or "it's not the right size," and so forth. I was hoping for some sort of marker on the app that says "Xoom" or a little hexagon/honeycomb symbol or something.

i understand. for now its wise to surf form the xoom so you can decipher the apps that are working got the xoom/honeycomb. who knows, perhaps they will implement something like that in the future...

There is much needed improvement with Honeycomb market but then again that's what happens when we sign on this early in the game ... We get to get frustrated and wait .. Definitely a practice in patients .. For now you just have to search from Xoom and select each category and then see the section for tablets .. I'm sure as market expands they will come out with a better solution

If you do go to Market website you can kind of trick the site into telling you what apps work on xoom .. Not which ones are optimized ... Here's how .. in search bar type in something that will get tons of hits ... I search android .. When the search results come back you can click "search options" then device compatibility and filter by xoom ... Like I said it won't bring you up optimized apps for honeycomb but it will show you what is compatible.

    Hope this helps
