Help market problem

Well, i have a galaxy s2 and when i open the market, i onlyy see up to a certain number of apps like 35 for top paid and 40+ for new free it does not load anymore. I am able to search apps though. another problem is that some apps say that its uncompatible to my phone but when i searxh the same app on my friends galaxy s2 its not the same. i have rooted my phone and i failed to download a rom so i dont know whether its done anythinf. someone help me sorry for the extreme number of typos.im not using swype

you could try re-installing the market.apk

you say you failed to download a rom?
if so then it shouldnt have changed anything on your phone as you have to flash the rom for it to do anything. what do you mean by failed to download?

if your browser isnt allowing you to download certain files you can get an app from the market called "download all files" or try another browser such as dolphin hd. this should fix any downloading issues

About the rom, i didnt know what it was at first so i pressed any rom i saw in the rom manager app then i saw a page like loading with words coming down the screen, ending with installation aborted then i pressed the home key to reboot. i also tried downloading the maekwt again but it didnt change. Oh and the 'device is incompatable with app' problem is in the market not internet download.for example foursquare or overkill(new game) i dont see the download button but a warning sign saying the device is incompatavble yet it is compatable with other s2s??
