When I go into the market and hit downloads, it only shows 6 downloads. Anyone else have this? I have at least 20 downloaded apps from there.

That happened to me once. I turned off my phone and restarted it. No problems since then.

Not to say that it's related (but maybe), any issues that I had with Froyo (not many) stopped after I stopped killing apps (including the Market app, which starts automatically to check for auto-updates). Are you killing apps, including the Market app?

Basic 101 troubleshooting I use on my market app. Go into system settings to Manage Applications.
Now open the market app and click the button to clear the cache. You may want to try to clear data as well, but I do not know if this defeats the ability of the market to auto-install your apps if your phone is wiped. I regularly clear my cache once a month for the Market app.

My market does the same thing, though its more random than anything else, clearing the cache helps sometimes but other times it doesn't do anything...

Market has behaved reasonably well for me. I cleared the cache after forcing the B upgrade but everything stayed working when I forced the D upgrade. This is despite the many apps I have downloaded. It keeps track of them fine.
