I want to put some pictures taken with digital cameras (DSLR and point and shoot) on the X. Does anyone know what the maximum or best size (width and length in pixels) that the X can handle? If necessary I can downsize them before putting them on the X.

do you mean for wallpapers? or just for viewing and showing friends? if it's the former then wallpapers for the droid x are 960 x 854. if it's the latter then i really don't think that there are any restrictions for what pictures you can view. but if you want the picture to be viewed full screen with no black bars, the screen resolution is 854 x 480. so any multiple of that would be good for full screen viewing.

resample them to the native res.

no point in taking up all that SD card space w/15 mega-pixel images, only to display them at 0.4 mega-pixel (ok...0.9 if you're using HDMI to a 720p external display).

Thanks, all. I will re-size them to 854 by 480 and save the storage space. (They are pictures to show friends and family, not for wallpaper.)
