I've had 16gb Sandisk card in mine since purchase when it launched in the UK and had no probs with it.

+1 i ordered my Magic, then ordered a 16gig Kingston card. Put it in on the first day i got the phone and everything is fine.

Better questions would be... will the magic support bigger cards with new Android updates.

Thanks.. I'll give it a try. I was getting a 2GB MicroSD card by default, and I can't find the highest card capacity details from HTC website, that's why I'm puzzling whether I should get a 8GB or 16GB.

16gb is maximum for now. I dont think any software update can change that.

Some sellers are taking pre-orders for 32gb - I'd expect to see them before the end of the year.

As we know it works with 8 and 16Gb cards it must be micro SDHC compatible therefore will accept upto 32Gb (the limit of the format). Hopefully, a software upgrade will allow us to use the new microSDXC format allowing upto 2TB.

By the time 2TB card comes out, htc magic is already outdated.
