Help Media files - music player

Not sure if this is an issue for anyone else but I find it difficult to locate mp3 files using the stock music ap or winamp. For some reason, if the mp3 came from some kind of complilation or mixtape source, it isn't really easy to find using the music players.

Is there any way to search the SD card as you would if it was mounted as a hard drive on a computer? Like a root directory listing with folders and files?

You can do a regular search from the bottom home buttons. You just have to make sure that music is checked on in the settings.

Other options would be using a file manager such as Astro, and search within that. Lets you explore all files and folders, but also search.

Thanks for both suggestions but the Astro file manager is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect!
