my parents are old school and they only way they watch movies is off an external drive. I've done research for a box with a usb port to play movies without codec audio issues but having a hard time finding a affordable 1. The only guaranteed one is the nividea shield and that is too much money. Any suggestions would be great to watch 720 around 6 gig movies from a 1 tera byte external hard drive.

unfortunately no they just rely on me to load up all the tv shows and movies, they were using the wd media box but it died and they don't sell them no more. Right now maybe the new roku ultra with play external hard drive? i just want something under 150 bucks that works all formats and audio with no issues.
