I'll be honest, I have NO idea where to put this thread.

Anyway, long story short, I'm selling an old phone (LG Envy Touch) and someone contacted me about it.
They asked for the MEID of the phone so they can make sure it can be activated.
Is this something I should tell them? I don't really know what they can DO with this number, I'm new to selling used cell phones.
Should I just chalk this up as a potential scammer or is it a safe thing to tell them?

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

Yeah, it's fair game. I wouldn't post it to the open world, but a PM or email would suffice. It's really the only way the potential buyer will know that you aren't jipping him/her.

Alright thanks a ton! I just wasn't sure.

The person can't report the MEID as stolen can they? Being a 2+ year old phone, I no longer have the box nor the receipts. Although I would assume Verizon can look back in records and prove it was purchased by me, if need be, correct?
