Support meid swap

    hi i have a samsung sch-r720 (metro pcs) and here is my question... i called metro pcs and they told me that the handset was blocked. i have another samsung slider phone with a clean esn that has a broken screen. is there any way to swap the esn/meid numbers for one phone to the other? i heard somewhere that there a laws about this, but i own both phones and i just want a phone that works, and a screen that works. please help me. thank u.

    Hi and welcome to the forums. As far as i know yer meid is yer phones serial number. I think changing that is illegal. Why is metro saying your phone is blocked?

    Yup, this is perfectly illegal and not welcomed on AF.

    If an ESN is blocked then swapping ESNs is most definitely illegal.

    Even when you own both handsets and they are in good standing (unblocked ESNs), the possibility of a swap being used for nefarious purposes means that AF cannot in all conscience allow advice on the process.
