    HTC Desire
Android 2.2 [updated from 2.1 after purchase OTA]

    No Task Killer

    NOT rooted

But Followed Noob's guide to move apps to SD without rooting

Issue: Memory - how much does it have?

My Desire's Box says the RAM and ROM are more than 500mb
Still with factory reset, the internal memory was 99mb
Now with Noob's guide, most of the apps are being installed in the SD
    Current Memory 75mb

Am I right or wrong in considering either of RAM or ROM as internal memory

Thanks for answering this dumb question [I am a doctor]

    Regards

My new Desire had about 140MB ROM internal memory.
This is the memory for the apps.

RAM is Random access memory. Nothing to do with internal data storage.

ROM is read only memory. The sum of all partitions /System (true ROM), /cache and /data is 500MB, however, data itself works out at about 148MB.

/data is used for apps, app cache, app data, dalvik cache and system settings store.

    Its poor, I know.
