My Samsung Galaxy (Model number GT-S5830i, Android version 2.3.6) keeps telling me my internal memory and message memory are full. Concerning the Internal one, it's true, though the only way I can get more space is by deleting apps I need, but I can live with it, though the phone is incredibly slow. The real problem is the message memory. 'Cause it's NOT full. The phone keeps rejecting messages with that excuse, only to get an advertisement message now and then, which is extremely annoying. And that though I've removed several messages, a couple of threads and even a small app, supposing the internal and message memories are linked. I can't convince it there IS memory even though I delete messages. What can I do?

Strange that ad messages are still coming through

Sounds like it is an internal memory issue. To free space you could try:

    - clearing caches on your apps

    - removing updates from apps you rarely use

    - removing apps you no longer use

    - replacing apps you like with alternatives that are smaller

Alternatively, you could root the phone and remove any bloatware - there's lots of advice about this on the appropriate Samsung Galaxy part of this forum.

Where is message memory stored if not on internal memory? I think clearing internal memory space will provide you with the necessary message memory space.
