Hello, I just got the Note 4 and initially my messages was not working. I thought it was because of my previous iPhone but I reset my message cache and it worked. I just got the phone so I was wondering if this was a server side or phone issue and if this would happen again in the future.

What exactly do you mean by not working? Not sending? Couldn't load them into the note?
I backed up my sms from my note 3 and uploaded them to my note 4. It was a little over 20k messages. It was real laggy for about 2 hrs, but working just fine now.
I use Hangouts as my default sms app
Quick question...my hangouts app is a bit laggy. Any suggestions? It is my default app. I like it but the lagginess (sp) is a bit annoying.
When someone sends out a group message that I'm included in it doesn't come in like a normal group message. It come in in individual messages so I have to go through each person and piece together the conversation. ... help me 
My hangouts app is laggy too. I've asked friends on other phones and they say theirs is running smooth. I'm waiting on the next update to see if it's corrected. I'm coming from a note 3 and it was just fine
I have been using the stock sms app for all of the useful S Pen features... I find it to be very laggy as well tho

Turn on group messaging in settings there is a option for how it displays
