I would like to receive a signal more than once when I receive a text message. Is there any way I can do that. I'm not someone who checks their phone many times during the day, so I really need more than once reminder that I have a message.

Turn off message notifications in default program.
    Download Handcent from Market
    Open Handcent | Menu | Settings | Notification Settings | Notification Settings(sub option) |
Make sure Enable Reminders is checked
Number of Reminders ( set from 1-10 or Keep Repeating)
Set Reminder interval(believe its in minutes(1,2,5,10,15)
I also find it nice to use the LED, this can be set to a custom On for x off for X milliseconds

    Hope this helps

DgAlert is nice. allows you to continue using stock messaging and set reminders and change led colors.
