Using a root file manager like Root Explorer you'll have to go to system/priv-app folder and push the mms.apk and change permissions to rw-r--r-- reboot and try again to send MMS.

If that doesn't work install Textra SMS from the play store and go to Settings/MMS settings/Apn settings, check "Manually configure apns" and enter this :

    MMSC: http://mms.metropcs.net:3128/mmsc
    MMS Proxy: wap.metropcs.net
    MMS Proxy Port: 3128
Under the "Send Size Limit" pick 300kb or 600kb, don't go higher than that because it won't work.

Don't uninstall the mms.apk, keep both, Textra and MMS.
Here's the link for the mms.apk,

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/xb6kqokrd4n0n6h/Mms.apk

    Good luck.

Other than the unfortunate nandroid deleting this ROM is smoother than gummy and shabbys omni build...

I'm skeptical as to how every d2 variant will run off one rom...

Meh, they've stopped releasing nightlies for us under the d2mtr page and I suspect it must be easier for developers to organize and stuff...and less chance of someone flashing a s3 nightly from another carrier and potentially messing it up( such as me flashing a att s3 ROM)...

3-02 nightly runs great. Only issue was couldn't send MMS. The settings to check APN blacked out.

I see that Carbon has issues with lte ROM...they have asked all to flash rom specific to device until bugs eliminated
