If I root can I definitely tether because if I don't have to I don't want to. I been trying to tether with foxfi (wirelessly and through usb) and it won't let me through. I just keep getting the 4G hotspot ad when I try to connect thru my computer. It won't let me thru what should I do?????? Plzzzz help that would be the only reason I root if tethering works, but even so if I didn't have to root I would love that.

Im actually working on figuring that out. Ive gotten usb tethering to work a couple times with clockwork mod tether. But its not consistent yet. Ill let u know if I figure something out.

The carrier cab block tethering no matter what you do with the phone. Other than that, FoxFi doesn't require root. Since it doesn't ask for root, rooting your phone makes no difference to FoxFi.

using wifi tether it works completely perfect they're just some settings you have to fix inside the wifi tether
