[Xposed (Xposed Framework)] - [ROM modding without modifying APKs by rovo89]​

You may have read or heard about a project called "Xposed" or "Xposed Framework". In short, it is a framework that can be used to install cool MODs to your phone without having to decompile and modify the APKs, which in turn means that nothing needs to be flashed via recovery. You simply install the Xposed Framework app, run it and tap the install button. It will install the framework modifying parts automatically. After a reboot, all you need to do is install some of the modules (which are also apps) that do the cool stuff you want like modify what certain apps do and dont do, change the DPI for apps, theme your phone, allow you to use icon themes, and much more.

Theres a good chance, if you are running a custom touchwiz rom, that you already have the Xposed Framework app as many Devs are including it and some cool modules in their roms.

How to install:

Spoiler

Create a backup and make sure you know how to restore it!

For the framework:
Download XposedInstaller.apk and install it
Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update"
Reboot
Done!

For modifications/modules you want to install:
Download .apk and install it
Launch the Xposed Installer and go to the "Modules" tab (you will also get there if you click on the notification warning you that the module is not enabled yet)
Enable the module by checking the checkbox
Reboot
Done!

In case you get into a boot loop:
You can flash the Xposed-Disabler-CWM.zip by Tungstwenty.
It will be copied to your (external) SD card when you install Xposed.

★Unicon (formerly Icon Themer)★

One of my favorite modules for Xposed is called Unicon (formerly Icon Themer) by Faruq Rasid (aka ruqqq at xda). This brilliant module allows you to use Nova/Apex/ADW icon packs/themes on your device and use any launcher you prefer, especially stock launchers like Touchwiz. Unicon is fantastic because the icon theme is applied throughout your device and not just confined your launcher.

★ More than 100 icon packs available in Play Store ready to be applied to Unicon
★ Tested with ADW, Apex, Nova Themes/Icon Packs
★ Works with Legacy GO Themes (the ones which is not made with GO Theme Factory)

This popular and useful module allows let you customize your Samsung Android 4.2+ Stock firmwares, it should work with custom Roms too, but it is HIGHLY recommend you use it with a Stock 4.2+ Rom. Perfect for those not wanting to flash custom roms.

★XBlast Tools - Xposed module★

Very much along the lines of Wanam XBlast Tools is a module for Xposed. It lets you customize your Samsung Android 4.2+ Stock Rom and while it doesn't pack all of the features of Wanam, more of the features it does have, works with our device.

Alot of these can be used on stock rooted, nice! The Wanam module is awesome, lets you customise everything in the status bar & notification pulldown, including all the quick settings & background colors
