Metro's future LTE plans

    What cities are expected to be expanded to lte in the near :rolleyes: future?

    They're currently expanding 4G to everywhere they currently have service. Expected to be completed around New Years. Once this phase is done they will start rolling out VoLTE, then you'll be able to talk and use 4G at the same time.

    I just bought the LG esteem last week. I haven't activated it yet but wonder if it will be capable of VoLTE. Verizon was able to do that on the LG revolution which is basically the same phone as the Esteem. I would hope that if it is not now that it at least is upgradeable by software.

    insider tip. metropcs has it capped. :) They planned to uncap it around the first quater of 2012.

    I think they will move to LTE spectrum Since they are planning upgrade to VoLTE
