Micro-USB loose? Charges fine but can wiggle it up down and left\right? Normal?

Bit confused, just got my Note 4 but I notice even after trying 4 different micro usb cables, they all plug is "tight" meaning you do have to actually try to unplug it, but any micro usb cable plugged in I can still wiggle to the left right or up and down, I don't loose a charge or anything, but is this normal?

My buddy has a Nokia Lumia (Windows 8 Phone) and his micro usb plugged in, is snug as possible, I mean you can't wiggle it at all.

This makes me paranoid about the "looseness" of the Note 4's charger port, can anyone help give me some relieving news on that this is normal and nothing to worry about? About a year after I had my Note 2 I had to literally prop the cord up correctly in the charger port to get it to charge, sucked.

    Thanks in advance!

People are still receiving their phones and experimenting with them. I'm sure someone will chime in soon.

Are you saying that when you plug in any micro usb into the N4 that it feels loose? How does the Samsung provided one feel? When I plug in the Samsung one - it is really secure, but there is slight movement left and right. There's almost no movement up and down. However - I tried other micro usb cables and it varies. I think it comes down to how the cable is constructed.

I have used 4 different cords and all are very snug so far.

One thing I like about the N3 and it's usb 3 charging port is that the wider usb 3 is much more sturdy also. However, you can use any usb 2 cord to charge if needed. But as far as being sturdy and a tighter/better fit, I much prefer USB 3 and wish they had kept it on the N4.

The Note 3's 3.0 charger still wiggles a bit. I just tried it though I noticed this quite a while ago.

Micro USB charger in my MS doesn't wiggle.

Samsung isn't really known for great charging ports, so make sure you have a insurance and check routinely to make sure the data transfer works. I had a few Galaxy devices that would charge but would lose the ability to maintain a data connection for file transfer and ended up having to get exchanges on them.

WTB a better, reversible, charger port standard.

Insurance wise what do you recommend? AT&T uses Asurion which I've heard is a NIGHTMARE to deal with, however Squaretrade has A+ approval all over the place, and for 99$ w\ 75$ deductible, (rather than the 200$ one with Asurion.

Anyway should I go by the at&t store and just ask to check another Note 4 with the cables I have?

  8. so I am an actual samsung rep who works in a samsung call center. try a different charging cable. if it still feels loose than that means that there is a defect with the charging port and your can either get a refub on the phone through the carrier or you can send your device in to us for a repair. as long as there is no physical or liquid damge to the device that repair would be completely free. only downside is you would have to ship your phone into our repair facility which is located in plano texas and it would be a week and a half to two weeks without your phone. now you can talk to your carrier and see if they can provide you with a loner phone while your personal phone is in for repair. i do know they have the ability to do it, its just at theyre discretion of whether or not they will. also if you, a friend, or a family member have another smart phone just laying around thats not really being used you can temporarily switch service over to that phone. hope this helps! :)

May I ask if your a Samsung tech I have a problem with a Samsung tab s it makes a clicking noise when I am surfing the web how can I fix this . I done reset and reset cache still a problem .

  10. ive actually never experienced this issue before. now basically all resetting the cache on an application does is deleting TEMPORARY files. clearing the actual data will reset that application to factory settings. so i would try clearing the data on the internet application that you are using. if its still not working i would try a factory data reset on the phone. if issue still persists than i would call in and set up a repair on your tablet. as long as there is no physical or liquid damage to the tablet and you are within one year of the purchase data that repair will be completely free.

Well I did some tinkering and found out the battery is bad causing the octa processor to react . you being a tech should have asked if the device was hot or shut off:oops::thinking: but its cool and fixed thanks to me . Samsung said nothing was wrong they lie to me
