I recently bought a 64gb sd card. when I format it in my phone it shows up as 59.4 Gb, but my computer can't read it through my sd card slot or my USB to sd adapter without reformatting it first. The problem with this is that when my computer formats it, it shows up as only 27.4 Gb whether I use ExFAT, which doesn't work with android as far as I know, or FAT32. I can still transfer files over USB through my phone but I would like to know how to fix this issue. Thanks

Make sure it's not a 32GB card counterfeited as a 64GB card. Use an app called SD Insight to determine if it's legit.

That's the first thing I checked (that's a great app btw) Insight recognizes it as 64GB. Both my phone and my Dad's Note can recognize 59.4 GB after either of them has formatted it. If it helps, I can format it on my phone and read it on his and vice versa

For anyone having this same issue, I didn't realize my card reader wasn't sdxc compatible. I used an sdxc compatible reader and everything worked perfectly.
