Nov 15th?! Now that has just pissed me off!

First it was 8th, 11th, 19th, end of October and now Nov 15th?! What's taking them so long!

I feel your pain, but i think we just all need to take a deep breath, and relax a bit. as Aristotle said "worrying about a problem isn't going to solve it, so let the problem solve it self!" (rough translation from greek of course).

so amazon are quoting a deliver date of 15th of Nov now, i'm guess to be on the safe side, a friend of mine works for amazon, and he says they've been getting bombarded with emails and complaints (As if it's amazon's fault)...
and finally I wasn't aware of this exclusivity deal between htc and vodafone!! it's true what spence said that it will drive up demand for as more and more peeps start rolling around london with it. Good thing i already paid for mine 455 shipped (my supplier should be getting it the same time as the rest of you).

patience is a virtue, and now my virtues are being tested!!

Does anyone have any concrete information on what the colour of the HTC Desire HD is?

When it was first shown at the HTC conference a couple of weeks back and you saw all those videos on the internet the back of the DHD looked or seemed to be all black. But certain websites which are selling the handset state it's a 'dark brown'. So is there only one colour available and is that colour 'dark brown'? Does anyone know?

To be honest it's a colour i'm not really keen on. Is the normal Desire a dark brown too?

Yes, the normal Desire is dark brown. The back is black; it's just the screen surround that is a metallic brown. Someone - I think it was Orange - did offer a black one.

Colrey - you do know that no-one here is interested in anything you say while you point blank refuse to disclose your sources. 'What you're being told'? Who is telling you? Not answering doesn't make it sound like you work in the trade, it just seems pathetic.

Put yourself in our position. Wouldn't you become incredibly frustrated if you constantly were given what were purported to be facts, but that person just ignored your requests for the basis of those facts. When you do that, it just makes them seem like fantasies.

colrey-thats all you keep saying though u are just repeating wot has been said elsewhere we knew it was delayed anyway

i can give out info i can say its been delayed by 15 days i can say anything i like but it would be nice if you could back it up with a reliable source-thats something thats just done on internet forums or you look like a fool just rambling on about people telling you its been delayed etc.

noone really understands why you wont say who you work for or who you know

Great. BUT WHY WON'T YOU TELL US WHERE YOU GET THE INFO? Even if you won't tell us how you know, can you at least tell why you can't tell us? Don't you get how bizarre and stupid this seems? 'Inside info'? Yes, I work for MI5, too. And who has suggested that the delay is your fault? I really don't think anyone thinks you're that important.

First of all, all the posts on Colrey, I don't mean to sound like a mod in training here, but its going slightly off topic..If you want to start this debate off (as its getting quite heated), I would suggest we make a topic on it?

UPDATE: I'm making a topic as after going through all this, i'm sure this won't be the end of it.

Anyway moving onto the mass quoting..I apologise, It just seems more professional if I do it this way.

There are that many dates out there, I think they are just thrown out there for the purpose of not setting customer expectation too high.

Well the standard Desire is Brown, with exclusivity via Carphone Warehouse for the White one and the Black one for Orange...So i'm tipping Brown again although just about every video i've seen looks black to me. on the front with brown covering at the back.

Yes Orange do offer a black one, Selling like hot cakes too as there is never any stock online.

Race you to find out haha

Colrey, what i'm told is that you are full of bull 9/10...And I have numerouss sources that would concur as well as posts.

    Agreed...Couldn't put it better myself

I've challenged Colrey at every opportunity and its come up blank...takes more of a man to admit they are telling some bull.

I've only emailed HTC and i'm still waiting for a reply. I've had a telephone call and an eChat with the company i've bought my deal from..How is that chasing a date you muppet!.

You know NO info and your posts on it are unwelcome.

I and many others will continue to doubt anything you say as you can't back any of it up.

Please don't post on it..and thats for the good of both this post and your online presence.

It really is a wait and see game now isn't it

I'm not even going to comment, my fingers are hurting xD

I put it to you Colrey that until you can back up anything you say via a source don't post it

Ok, iv had enough, what I will do is post up pics of the phone(when someone tells me how) it will be before any of you lot, then you will see that it was worth having my info,

I can't believe what a waste of time I have spent here,

Funny how the date has been put back, yet those people were adamant it won't be delayed to late October(look at page 1)

Not wishing to add fuel or anything but if you don't like what someone's got to say, you could always ignore them.

I see people commenting on how they don't care what a certain person says but then proceed to add numerous paragraphs and quotes explaining why. Just keep checking the tech sites and google for news and ignore all else.

Spoken to Orange this morning and they said it would be November. Wouldn't give me a date but just told me to keep an eye on the site . :(

Lost the energy to do it.

I heard rumours Orange are trying to strike a deal...To little too late for me..I'll go with their sister company..probably got a better deal too as Orange are classed "for the premium customer" and T-Mobile for "value customers"

Words "Epic Fail" come to mind eh ;)

Apologies if this is old news but I just went into my local CPW (I know, I know, but it had to be done - my wife's 2 month old Samsung Galaxy S is broken AGAIN!) and they had a dummy phone on display..... and dummy is right, it was a normal Desire and they didn't know the difference lol :p

Anyway, apart from that, they checked on their system and were saying it is still showing as being available at the end of next week (which it appears is high unlikely), but they also said it will be available in either brown or grey - has anyone else heard this or know if this is true, or just typical of CPW's (lack of) knowledge?

I am sooo desperate for this phone to come out - I am still using my 5 year old Samsung which cant even connect to the internet ! I sit there in my cave at night, watching the mammoths walk by and some guys testing out something they call a "wheel" (it will never catch on) hoping that one day I will have a phone that does more than make calls :D
