I have been trying to migrate my WhatsApp to a new Android phone. The last time I did was to copy the entire WhatsApp folder from my old phone to the new phone before installing WhatsApp. The new phone will then be able to detect the backup files.

However, this time round I am unable to locate the .crypt12 file in my computer (when copying the folder) under WhatAapp - Database. Even the new phone's File Manager is unable to locate the database. However, I am able to see the .crypt12 database in the old phone.

I have read that .crypt12 file is encrypted and I can't just copy the foilder and restore it. However my other phones are still using .crypt. Is there anyway for me to migrate my WhatsApp backup?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)
