if i'm not mistaken, the new radio update addresses this issue... i have flashed the new radio and it's working great for me... i don't believe it was just the Mik roms that had the issue, i don't think it was working correctly on any of the new GB roms...

Mik Just released a patch for the voice search fix (and the rest that came with the new OTA):

(It's a patch you flash over MikG 2.5, just wipe cache and davik cache).
