    Hey,

I migrated from DM 1.0, which shipped with the milestone/android IM client, to Cyanogen 5.0.7.1, which does not have this client in it.

Is there any way I can get that client installed on CM?

    Thanks,
    Joe

Do you mean the G1 IM Client?

Tried to find a link to the G1 Client but I'm having no luck at all finding it.

Oh, maybe it was the G1 client. I don't remember what the it said when DM was installing the options.

The client that has the blue and red chat bubble icons is the G1 IM program. It works, but it's incredibly flaky.

Try using Meebo -- I've had a lot of success with that. eBuddy is also pretty good, but you have to have an eBuddy account, and I'm not a huge fan of that.

And, truth be told, I don't much care for the eBuddy icon. >_>

yeah, that's the one. I've been using IM+. I liked the UI on the G1 client better though.

Meebo blows. It constantly logs you out.

I've tried many different IM apps to talk to my MSN buddies, but in the end I found the best solution was to convince everyone to switch to GTalk. Every MSN client I could find absolutely ruined my battery in a matter of 30 minutes.
