Mini Jack Output Low

I find that the media volume through the 3.5 mm output jack is lower than I would like. At maximum setting it about right for me in a quiet room, but too low if I'm walking through a noisy area. I'm talking about podcasts, audiobooks, etc, not phone calls (not much experience with the phone volume).

The volume through the speaker is fine. Much louder than on an Ipod touch.

I have several set of earbuds that are lower with the vibrant than through the ipod touch. I also notice that when I plug it into a radio with aux input, I have to crank up the volume on the radio to make it as loud as the native radio broadcasts.

    Has anyone else noticed this?
