I just got this nice email from Mint Mobile.
This is the second time they have done this. I was originally on a 5GB plan, and I'm still paying the same monthly rate, but now get 10GB. Did I mention it is also 5G coverage. :D

Really for me Mint boils down to Cell Phone service without the BS.

Mint runs on T-Mobile (and now Sprint) and even places where I used to have dead spots (even when I was on VZW) are getting phone signal with 5G. That said, coverage is a truly local thing in most areas.

When I left VZW I had an extra, crappy unlocked phone, so I bought a sim and a minimal plan. Fired up a new number and checked out signal for three months. Once I was satisfied with coverage I ported my number over.

Another consideration @DonB has touched on is WiFi calling is free and simple to use.

  5. When searching for mint mobile suggestion box , I landed here. I come from a Carrier on a 1 gig per quarter plan, adding an additional gig in the 3rd month of their 90 day time frame with cumulation carryover.

When i could not use wifi except at home i switched to mint mobile. Most months i went over the 3 gig i signed into. After 9 months I switched to 10 gig.

Suggestion, let users accumulate a percentage of their leftover data, capped at a certain number, (based on current plan), so i get rewarded for being frugal. And I'll be able to drop out of the current 10 gig plan for which i went over once in 3 months

Welcome to Android Forums @Orange Orangutan :) To be clear, we are not affiliated with Mint, just users helping each other. I had the 3GB plan for my son for a few years and when he would occasionally run out I would simple buy an extra 1GB for $10 to get him through the end of the month. While not exactly what you are looking for, this would overall be less expensive than going to the 10GB plan. All that said, I've had to move all of the plans to unlimited. :(
