At least they finally have a way to manage multiple lines with one login. I've asked them for that for years. They really hit it out of the park for online / app base account management.

Another plus is how they do international roaming. It's something like $0.02 / minute and you prebuy in $10 increments. So between Wifi calling and cheap overseas rates I don't have to go running around trying to buy a local sim when I travel.

I've had the 8GB plan (was the 5GB but they bumped it in the last year) for a while now. I may jump to unlimited on my line and use it as a hotspot when I camp.

What the benefit to manage the multiple lines, can you still manage and not have not on all the same payment charge card, my wife is on my CC and my line I still pay it through the company, does that affect anything, or do they have to be on the same payment card ?

I have four lines, and I staggered the start times so I have an annual renewal every three months. Before I would have to log into each account to renew, now I can check them all from my account, plus I get all the plan notifications (low data for example). It doesn't look like you can have different payment methods, I hadn't checked until you asked as that wasn't a need for me.

So far switching from Cricket to Mint, I must say I am impressed. Was easy to switch, quick and number ported in lest then 3 minutes. Their ease of use of the Mint Mobile App is much better then Crickets. One thing I hope they add in the future is VisualVmail app( I Know I can use a third party app like Youmail), rather then having to call in for message. Other then that the experience has been flawless. Referrals communications have been spot on, and the free 3 months credit has already been added to my next yearly billing.

Spotty, but the times I've used it I've been on less than stellar WiFi, but that is often the nature of not having cell signal is the environment, not a coverage problem. Hospitals, warehouses, etc. I tend to manually toggle it on and off as there isn't a good way to tell the phones to use the stronger signal, just choose to prefer calls over wifi or prefer calls over cellular.

My best use case is when traveling overseas. If your resort has at least moderate wifi you can use your phone like you are still in the US.

I've had mine on for the past week and so far no issues, in certain areas of the house the cell signal drops and people hear us gargled, so figured I'd give it a go and see, so far no issues here, but it's early in testing.

So it's been a month now that I have switched over, and I haven't missed a beat. So far so good, and barely used any of my data, since these day I'm mainly at home. The VOWiFi has been great to date since my home usually has certain area's that have Dead Spots.

Those of you on the 8GB Plan, coming up they will be adding 2GB to that monthly plan on your next renewal. So plan in the future will be 10GB per month

Just curious, have you had to play around with the APN settings to work best in your Area ??

Mine has worked great so far, but there are definitely areas here where I live that coverage drops outdoors, and these are areas that should not, since they are close to I95 and populated areas, and I've never had issue is those areas before. Either cell coverage drops, or Data in barely or non existent. I also notice sometimes phone will switch from LTE to H and takes a while to switch back. Again this is for outdoors and usual good reception areas in the past.

I did change the APN setting this morning to one I found, and seems to be working, but I'll have to check in those areas.

This is the one I'm testing at the moment, https://www.mintmobile.com/setup-for-android/

Just asking if you've had to change, or heard of any settings that would help, or any other suggestions, before my renewal comes up.

I haven't had that issue. I used to have some spotty coverage areas, but they were areas that were expected to be spotty. Since they turned on 5G and merged in the Sprint coverage I have even less coverage issues.

KK, well I'll test the APNsetting I changed and see, thanks

The one I change too is definitely different from the one set by default from Mint, and yet the one I did change too comes from Mint website, LOL so go figure.

I've changed my APN to the one suggested by Mint, and so far it's been much better for me to date.

Now keep in mind, we all live in different locations, so this might not work for you, but if you are having issues with signal and you want to give it a go, it's simple and you can test it out, and always revert back with no harm done, IMO it's worth testing if you are having spotty issues.

I'll post a screenshot for an alternative APN setting suggested by Mint, if it helps you, please let us know, if not as I mentioned you can revert back.

The only difference I did was, I enabled both IPV4/IPV6

Been active now with them for over 6 months, and must say, for the price though to beat to date, the odd hiccup here and there, but no different then from other carriers I've had, so I would definitely recommend. Plus you can give referrals as use as credit towards you next yearly purchase, a bonus to me.

I'm assuming you're on a 5G phone, if yes, how is the data on 5G, before I switch me device to a 5G platform.

Yes, I have a Samsung Galaxy S20, which is 5G. I haven't really played with speed test to see the throughput, but the coverage is great. I get signal in places on 5G that I never got coverage, even with Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile (Mint). I drive through one dead spot on my way to work where all three carriers 3G/4G network drops, hell, even my Sirius XM drops. With 5G I can still make calls and / or stream music. Now that I am on an unlimited plan I often just leave WiFi off, even at home.

Cheers, here is South Fl, I tend to get many blind spots by the beach area, and drives me crazy, so that's the main reason I was asking.
