Help Miscellaneous files

My Samsung Galaxy 5 keeps saying "out of storage". I have deleted everything I know and yet it doesn't make a difference. All photos/apps are on SD card. The majority of the problem is that "Miscellaneous Files" is more than 5gb. I don't recognize any of the names (e.g. .face, thumbnails,) so I am wary of deleting any files without guidance.

You could try an app called SD Maid off the playstore.

But you still need to think about what you let it delete: it's a powerful tool and can easily remove stuff you'd rather it didn't.

I looked at SD Maid, still have it installed, but I never got brave enough to let it do anything...

Don't have any issues that need to be "fixed", so why fix something until it is broke?

Is the internal storage accesible? Are you installing an app? where is the "out of storage occuring? Where is the mysterious files put?
