Root MIUI users, anyone else's camera stopped working?

I'm running MIUI1.5.20 and the camera is working fine,however I'm not a great picture taker odd snap here and there.I really do like MIUI roms they're so customable however the 1st time I flashed MIUI,I installed all my favourite apps from my memory card using titanium and one by one all the apps including the camera started to force close.This time I have been more careful only installing the most of them from the market and everything has been ok apart from the appshare app which fc always.
I'm running MIUI_AU1.5.20 R1.
Installing apps from back ups can result in force closes so I'd suggest you wipe everything before installing 1.5.20.

This doesn't work for me either :-(
I've been using the miuiandroid release so downloaded the latest miui-au rom instead, wiped everything, cache, system, data, dalvik etc then installed the virgin miui-au rom, didnt install any apps or do any setup etc. tried the camera and same problem. It starts and I can see the images on the screen but as soon as i press any button, the shutter key, settings, flash etc, it comes up and says its not responding and gives me the option to wait or force close. pressing wait does nothing so the only option is to FC
Its possible your sd card is corrupted. Dont panic just yet. Install 1.5.27 due out tommorow and if it still force closes. Clean up your sd card and try again.

Every thing seems to be working fine for me now and I am using 1.5.13 Desire GSM I hope this works our for you...

I did wonder if this is the case. I flashed cyanogen 7.0.3 last night and the camera in that did exactly the same thing, however I found a nandroid backup i did on miui 1.5.6 a couple of weeks ago, restored back to that and hey presto, camera working
Very puzzling though, I would really like to find out why, I hate not knowing how to fix something and what the cause is. Would you have any pointers to what on the sd card would need clearing up and what might cause it?

Well the clue is in folders/apps installed from previous roms. Best thing to do is save all your important data like pics and text messages from your sd card to pc, format sd card, transfer data back on sd card again. But dont include apps installed from previous roms. Start fresh
