I just got the Intercept for VM last week and I'm having the same problem. What's odd is that I have a friend that can send me pictures on his iphone on AT&T no problem, but I have another friend that uses an iphone on AT&T and when she sends me pictures it just comes through as a blank text message. I used to have the Rumor 2 and didn't have trouble with receiving or sending pictures. Also, my one friend that uses Sprint, she used to be able to send me pictures on my Rumor 2 but now when she tries to send pictures to my Intercept they just show up as blank text messages. I'm able to send pictures to anyone. Sometimes though, the picture won't send, it will just have that little icon next to it with the little clock like it's waiting to send. If I turn off the phone and turn it back on (which takes forever) it will usually fix it.

I'm actually having the same problem with my VM Intercept. I can send but can't receive any picture messages. I sent a support ticket and here was the response I got:

I got an Intercept on 02-03-11 and I'm having same issues. I can send all day with no problems with or without wifi on, but I can't receive 8 out of 10 pictures messages.

I did call customer services which after demanding a supervisor and requesting documentation of my concern sent me the following email and acknowledged there was an issue. But after reading some in this forum today see the email wasn't really truthful.

Email Received:

what they say is not crap i and about 500 others have the same problem
just because your not having these issues doesnt mean you can discredit them and its not just the intercept i am having the same problem on my lg opt v

I didn't say MMS was working well for everyone, however, read what their email said:
"Since February we have experienced a picture Messaging outage which caused that all the picture messages are delayed or not sent at all."

That says "all the picture messages"....which is not true. That is what I was referring to.

Sooooooo yep.

I had the same issue and I fixed it using another messing app (GoSMS for me worked) I'm not sure if it will fix everybody's but I was able to send and receive immediately when I starting using GOSMS. I will stick with the intercept and think the LG Optimus phone will be similar or worse I can wait for 2.2 as I'm running frozen eclair with zero slow downs.
I wonder if the Optimus will have the same issue with the stock messaging app if it does I'm seriously going to laugh at the people who cry about the Intercept having issues and going to return it.

there is no ETA for mms fix blah blah i buyt the optimus V i knew id regret this hole thing, simple mobile let me hit HSPA speeds on a flashed G1 but i couldnt receive most MMS messages for some reason and my phone broke so i thought trying something new would be good but apparently i feel like its the same exact issue with a shitty service infact the 3g kicked me off just for running the speedtest.net app which is sad it got stuck in rev1 or w.e i had to restart my phone i may just return this phone to radio shack and call it a 60 dollar loss considering i paid for the unlim everything plan.. also my signal bar is always going up and down for no reason im in the best coverage area. sad. im still not sure what to do. metro has the same phone blah dunno what to do
