If you open the messaging app, hit menu, then settings, then MMS messages, what is the Maximum Message Size set to?

I don't have a 600Kb setting, I've got 100, 200 & 300Kb. Are you using the stock SMS app? Also, what network are you on?

When you've attached the pic, you can press it to view it full screen, hit menu, then details. It brings up the size in KB of the file. Is that 90KB or is the file reading as 90KB on the recipients phone?

The reason I ask is that whenever I send an MMS to my GF, my phone sends it at a decent size (250KB or whatever) but hers compresses it to something ridiculous, like 25KB meaning it's virtually a blur of colours. Further info here.

I'm just trying to ascertain if it's an issue with your handset or the recipients. Are you Vodafone branded though (do you see a vodafone logo when you turn the handset on)?

Yes branded to Vodafone . Pics get resized to 64kb then received at the same 64kb so pic is very poor . Was fine before gingerbread update .

I'd contact Vodafone then, see if they've put anything in their update that prohibits the size of MMS.

I've posted here to see if anyone else who's voda branded and update has had the issue.
