Has anybody heard and/or know of any information regarding a Mobile Netfilx instant movie watch app?

The reason I am asking; is my friends who own the Iphone 4, and I always have that "Look what my phone can do" competition. Well today, he was finally able to out do my Evo, I think.

He was able to pull up netfilx via an app, and watch instant watch movies. So I finally had to admit defeat in our phone fight....lol. Now I dont know if I was "Defeated" due to the lack of knowing how to view Netflix instant Watch movies on my phone, or if the EVO is currently not capable of supporting that service.

I also read that Hulu will soon be available for the Android Market.... for those who are interested.

The Evo is more than capable of handling such an app. For flux capacitor sakes we have FLASH. Ipoop does not. Don't ever feel defeat, for there is no such thing with the Evo. Yes, Netflix did announce (sometime ago) that they are working on a streaming app for android devices. How long? who knows!! Hulu is not in the market at this time. However, if your phone is rooted there is an hulu app that is actually quite good.
Netflix for Android in the works

There are couple more links that says netflix is working on this idea.
Hope this is the answer your looking for.

Whoa! There's a Hulu app for rooted phones? How do I get that?! I assume you don't need an Evo, just any 2.2 rooted phone should work?

Currently there is no HULU app out there. But there is a hacked flash 10.1 app out there that would allow you to watch hulu on their website through the browser.

I can't wait for a Netflix app. I got one now to mess with my que when I see a movie I'm interested in, but if I can pull out my phone and watch a movie when I'm sitting waiting for something, that'd be great.

I cant lie... from an app standpoint I kinda wish I had kept my 3GS as a second phone. I could've just used the 4g from my evo for wifi. As a matter of fact im about to go see if I can find one for cheap on craigslist. From an App standpoint as much as im not a fan of IOS it seems that they will pretty much always have the advantage in terms of getting apps.

I would just wait. I came from an iPhone, has three versions of it, and Palm Pre to my EVO and so glad I did.

Apple has the lead in the number of apps and will probably get all the big name ones first "for now" but in the long run Android devices will take over as they are already outselling BB and Apple.
