That error message could be caused by several different things: 1.) The person that you are trying to text, might not be able to recieved text. 2.) The number might be incorrect. 3.) If you are able to call that person, but not able to text them...then there might be problem with your device or service provider.

As suggested by marc12868, you should check in to your device's area of support for opinions from other users of this device.
